Development started in 2017 and it was simply named "the project". Day and night for months, eventually C-Prime evolved into its current form.
Making a programming language and a development environment (that runs the same everywhere) with the ambitious specifications of C-Prime involved many challenges.
We are hoping to getting 100 pre-orders that will help us be able to solely focus on completing the remaining tasks to get the development environment to be first-class for release including artwork and documentation.
Site Is New And Evolving
The C-Prime language took the best ideas from languages like C#, Java, C and Visual Basic 6. The language is simple but traditional (string s = "Fred" or me.caption = "Hello World!" or int my_nums[3] = {1,2,3} and has the usual suspects like for/if/while/switch-case but does not need semi-colons except for multiple statements on a single line -- it uses natural line continuation instead. We hope to get the language reference at least partially up soon, but the short version is it will be anti-climatic. Note that C-Prime does command line applications too (it can make cmd.exe or Terminal style console applications).
